Workshop Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern all workshop bookings made with Zera. By purchasing a ticket or registering for any workshop, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms in full. Please read carefully before completing your booking.

01
Bookings & Payment

All bookings are processed through our website via Squarespace and Stripe. Your place is only confirmed once full payment has been received. We reserve the right to cancel unconfirmed bookings.

All prices are listed in USD. Euro equivalents are provided as a reference only and are approximate. The charge to your account will be in USD at the prevailing exchange rate set by your card provider.

Early bird pricing is available for a limited time and is subject to availability. Once the early bird period closes, standard pricing applies.

02
Cancellation by Zera

Zera reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Insufficient enrollment — if fewer than 50% of the stated workshop capacity register, the workshop may not be viable to run
  • Venue unavailability, closure, or unforeseen issues with the scheduled location
  • Instructor illness, injury, or personal emergency
  • Force majeure events including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, fire, flood or flight cancellation due to war.
  • Government restrictions, public health directives, or safety concerns that prevent the workshop from taking place
  • Any other circumstances genuinely beyond our reasonable control

In the event of a cancellation by Zera, we will notify all registered participants as soon as reasonably possible and no later than 14 days prior to the workshop date where circumstances allow.

A full refund will be issued automatically to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of the cancellation announcement. All processing fees will be absorbed by Zera so participants will receive the full amount paid with no deductions.

03
Cancellation by Participant

We understand that plans change. The following cancellation policy applies to all participant-initiated cancellations. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to zera.circus@gmail.com

  • More than 30 days before the workshop: Full refund (minus processing fees) issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
  • 14–30 days before the workshop: A 50% refund (minus processing fees) will be issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
  • Less than 14 days before the workshop: No refund will be issued.

The date of your written cancellation request determines which tier applies, not the date the refund is processed.

04
Spot Transfers

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person provided that written notice is received at zera.circus@gmail.com no later than 7 days before the workshop date.

To arrange a transfer, please provide the full name and contact details of the person taking your place. Transfers are subject to approval and are not guaranteed. No refund is issued in lieu of a transfer.

05
Liability & Assumption of Risk

By registering for any of Zera's workshops, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Participation in acrobatics, dance, and movement-based activities involves inherent physical risk, including the possibility of injury.
  • You are participating voluntarily and accept full responsibility for any risk of injury, illness, or loss that may occur as a result of your participation.
  • You confirm that you are in suitable physical health to participate and that you are aware of any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect your ability to participate safely.
  • You agree to inform the instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations prior to the start of the workshop.
  • You agree to follow all instructions given by the instructor and to work within your own physical limits at all times.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Zera, its instructors, organisers, and affiliated parties shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, illness, or death arising from participation in any workshop, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

Zera is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings at any workshop venue.

Participants under the age of 18 must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian prior to attending any workshop.

06
Photography & Filming

Zera reserves the right to photograph and film participants during workshops for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to use for the website, social media channels, and other promotional materials.

By registering for a workshop, you grant Zera a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your likeness in such materials.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you must notify us in writing at zera.circus@gmail.com before the day of the workshop. We will make every reasonable effort to ensure you are not included in promotional content.

07
Behaviour & Participation

All participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward the instructor, other participants, and venue staff at all times.

Zera reserves the right to remove any participant from a workshop without refund if their behaviour is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful to others.

Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may not be permitted to join if the warm-up has already commenced, as this poses a safety risk.

08
Changes to Workshop Details

Zera reserves the right to make reasonable changes to workshop details including but not limited to venue, time, or supporting instructor. Participants will be notified of any significant changes as soon as possible.

Minor changes to the programme or schedule do not constitute grounds for a refund.

09
Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts relevant to the location of the workshop in question.

Zera reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking shall apply to your purchase.
